Surah Al Alaq, سورة العلق is the 96 chapter of the Quran Pak, placed in Parah 30, and contains 19 verses, 76 words, and 288 letters with 1 Ruku. This Surah was revealed in Makkah before the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) migration. Surah Al Alaq means “THE CLOT” in English and العلق in Arabic which refers to Human organic development at an early stage while still in the womb.

Surah Al Alaq is a unique Surah in that it was the first ever message given to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) by God Himself. It therefore acts as the initial spark that lights up the entire Quran!
