Surah Saba

Surah Saba, meaning “Sheba” after the ancient kingdom mentioned in the chapter, is the 34th chapter of the Holy Quran. Located in the 22nd Juz (Parah), this Makkan Surah, revealed in Mecca during Islam’s early days, contains 54 verses filled with wisdom and guidance.

The word “Saba” carries several beautiful meanings, including “softness,” “youthfulness,” and “pouring of water.” These meanings can be seen as metaphors for the themes explored in the Surah, such as the gentle guidance of Allah, the importance of seeking knowledge and understanding, and the abundance of Allah’s blessings.
