Surah Fussilat سورة فصلت is the 41 chapter of the Quran Pak, Surah Fussilat also called Surah Ha Mim Sajdah, placed in Parah 24 and contains 54 verses, 898 words, and 3325 letters with 6 Ruku. This Surah was revealed in Mecca before Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) migration. Surah Fussilat means “EXPLAINED IN DETAIL” in English and فصلت in Arabic.

Fussilat: This title means “The Explained in Detail” or “The Distinguished”. It captures the clarity of explanations presented throughout this sura on different aspects of faith and life.

Ha Mim Sajdah: These are the first two Arabic letters of a sura followed by the word ‘Sajdah’ which means prostration. Some people claim they bear hidden meanings while others think they are just attention-grabbers at the beginning of a sura. The verse also contains another verse that commands sajdah to be performed by him/her who reads it.
