Surah An Najm
The Holy Quran has fifty-three chapters and one of them is Surah An Najm which means “The Star” in English. This chapter is like a special song in the Quran with 62 verses containing beautiful messages.
In a way that can be easily understood, here’s what Surah An Najm is all about.
Location: Just like the book chapters, imagine the Qur’an being split into 30 parts. The part in which this surah falls is the 27th.
Length: Think of words as blocks for building something. The Surah consists of 62 verses that contain 409 words which amount to 1,421 letters.
Timing of Revelation: This surah was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) when he was still in Makkah before moving to Madinah. Hence it’s called “Makki surah”.
