Surah Al Jinn

Al-Jinn is the 72nd surah in the Qur’an and it is relatively short as it contains only 28 verses. It was revealed in Mecca during early Islam making it a “Makki Surah.” The name of the surah, which means invisible beings, is an allusion to Jinn in Islamic teachings.

Surah Al-Jinn narrates about some spirits called Jinn who overheard Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) recite Quran. They were astounded by the beauty and wisdom of its message. They discerned that this was an authentic divine revelation and so they resolved to believe in one god Allah.
