Surah Al Mursalat

The surah is called “Al-Mursalat” in Arabic. It is also known as “The Sent Forth” or “The Emissaries”. The Quran has its 77th chapter as Surah Al-Mursalat.

This chapter is in the Makki period. The revelation of this sura happened in Makkah when Islam was still at its infancy, therefore it is among the first revelations.

It consists of only 50 verses, thus making it quite short.
