Surah Al Ala

Surah Al-Ala, whose meaning is “The Most High,” is the 87th surat of the Quran. It is not a long surah, having only nineteen verses but it holds a profound message about worshiping Allah (SWT) and comfort in his teachings. This Surah was revealed in Makkah; thus, it is called “Makki Surah.”

Imagine how you will feel when you look at the bright and beautiful sky above you. In its opening verses, Surah Al-Ala reminds us to remember Allahu Akbar, who created everything so meticulously. He has planned the course of every creature no matter how big or small they are carrying them along.

In this regard, the Surah also speaks tenderly to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). In that situation, Allah (SWT) tells the Prophet (PBUH) not to be concerned about remembering all of The Qur’an verbatim. It will be made easy for him to learn and recite it; he says. Therefore if anyone is feeling overwhelmed about acquiring knowledge then this is reassuring information for them.
